Simpson Industries Awarded Engine Module ContractPLYMOUTH, Mich., Jan. 13 -- Simpson Industries, Inc. today announced that it has been selected to supply a major engine module for a Model Year 2002 light-duty truck vehicle program. The mature sales are expected to exceed $30 million per year or approximately $250 million over the life of the program, which is estimated to be seven to ten years. The company is expected to finish 1999 with sales of approximately $530 million. "This is a major early breakthrough for Simpson in its efforts to establish modular engine business as a new growth initiative," said Roy E. Parrott, Chairman and CEO of Simpson Industries.
