A. Schulman Inc. Raises Regular Cash Dividend; Marks Eighteenth Consecutive Annual Dividend Increase

    AKRON, Ohio--Jan. 13, 2000--The Board of Directors of A. Schulman Inc. increased the regular quarterly cash dividend to $.135 per common share from the $.125 per share paid in previous quarters. This represents an 8 percent increase.
    The higher cash dividend is payable February 4, 2000 to shareholders of record on January 27, 2000.
    The Company said today's action by the directors marks its eighteenth consecutive annual cash dividend increase.
