Steven J. Borick Named Executive Vice President of Superior Industries International

    VAN NUYS, Calif.--Jan. 12, 2000--Superior Industries International Inc. announced today that Steven J. Borick has been named Executive Vice President.
    Borick, who joined the company as Vice President, Strategic Planning, has been a Director since 1981 and is Chairman of the Long Range Financial Planning Committee. With his expanded responsibilities as Executive Vice President, Borick will play an increasingly important role in managing Superior's continued growth.
    Borick has spearheaded the company's programs to increase its share of the aluminum wheel market and build its position in the potentially vast market for aluminum suspension and related underbody components.
    Borick, 46 years old, is a Director and member of the Audit Committee of MDC Holdings Inc., Denver, the nation's eighth largest home builder, and a Director of Richmond American Homes, Denver.
    Borick earned a B.A. in Business Administration from Western State College, Gunnison, Colo. in 1975. He is an active member of the Independent Petroleum Association of American and the American Petroleum Institute.
