Transportation Technologies Announces Management Changes
CHICAGO--Jan. 11, 2000--Transportation Technologies Industries, Inc. today announced the following management changes, which are effective immediately:- Andrew M. Weller, 53, has been named President and Chief Operating Officer of Transportation Technologies Industries, Inc. Mr. Weller has been the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Company. Thomas M. Begel remains Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. - James D. Cirar, 53, has been named President and Chief Executive Officer of Gunite Corporation, replacing Thomas W. Cook, who has retired. Mr. Cirar previously served as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company's former railcar group from September 1995 to June 1999. Prior to September 1995, Mr. Cirar was the Plant Manager of the Truck and Bus Assembly Group of General Motors Corporation in Flint, Michigan. - Timothy A. Masek, 35, Vice President - Corporate Development of the Company and President of Bostrom Seating, has been named Executive Vice President - Sales and Marketing of the Company. In his new position, Mr. Masek will have overall responsibility for sales and marketing of the Company's truck component businesses as well as responsibility for the Company's Bostrom and Imperial businesses. - Donald C. Mueller, 36, currently Vice President and Treasurer of the Company, has been named Chief Financial Officer. - Robert L. Jackson, 53, currently Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Bostrom Seating, has been named President and Chief Executive Officer of the seating business.
