Satyam and Venture Industries Form Joint Venture

    New Design & Development Center to serve automotive industry globally

    DETROIT, Jan. 7 -- Satyam Computer Services, one of the
world's fastest growing information technology (IT) solution providers, today
announced a joint venture with U.S.-based Venture Industries to form the
Design & Development Center of Satyam-Venture Engineering Services Private,
Ltd. in Hyderabad, India.
    The new center was inaugurated today in India by Michigan State Senator
Gary Peters and Michigan State Representatives Hansen Clarke, Paul DeWeese and
Andrew Raczkowski, along with members of the USA Consortium for Trade with
India.
    Designed to serve automotive OEMs and suppliers worldwide, the center will
provide engineering services such as CAD/CAM/CAE, simulation, product design
and tool design, as well as software development and customization for
engineering design, manufacturing automation and manufacturing processes.
    The joint venture combines Satyam's capability in providing global class
engineering services and Venture's automotive product, materials,
design/development, tooling and manufacturing strengths.
    While the new company's technical operations and corporate headquarters
will be based in India, sales and marketing offices will be opened in Europe,
Japan and the United States.
