William L. Aamoth Named Treasurer of Hayes Lemmerz International

    NORTHVILLE, Mich., Jan. 6 -- Hayes Lemmerz International,
Inc. , one of the world's leading suppliers of wheels, brakes,
suspension, structural and other lightweight components to the automotive and
commercial highway markets, announced today the appointment of
William L. Aamoth to the position of Treasurer.  In this position, Mr. Aamoth
will be responsible for financing, foreign currency management, cash
management, global banking, banking relations, and tax.
    Mr. Aamoth comes to Hayes Lemmerz with over 20 years of experience,
primarily in the automotive industry.  He most recently served as Assistant
Treasurer International for TRW, Inc., in Cleveland, Ohio.
    Mr. Aamoth serves as a member of the board for Providence House (a crisis
nursery), and the Center for Prevention of Domestic Violence, both in
Cleveland, Ohio.  He also serves on the board of visitors for Hiram College,
located in Hiram, Ohio.
    Mr. Aamoth is a Michigan native and holds a BA degree in business
administration from the University of Michigan and a MBA from Michigan State
University.
