Federal-Mogul to Supply Bushings for Hoover Dam
    SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Jan. 6 -- Federal-Mogul Corporation
today announced that it will supply bushings and wear plates for
the Hoover Dam, a North American historic landmark located between Nevada and
Arizona. The value of this U.S. Government contract is expected to top $1.75
million over the next 10 years.
"This prestigious project is significant because it demonstrates the
technical and manufacturing synergies that can exist within our Uniontown,

vice president, Powertrain Systems. "We have the technical and manufacturing
expertise to equip and supply any type of bearing, seal or brake for any
turbine application. Our goal is to provide customers with a complete
systems-engineered turbine solution, thus achieving economies of scale."

bushings are 10 inches in diameter, while the wear pads are over five feet
long, together weighing in at more than 45,000 pounds.
