Budget Group Promotes Sotir to President, North American Vehicle Rental Operations
           Rossetti Appointed Senior Officer for Budget Truck Group

    LISLE, Ill., Jan. 5 -- Budget Group, Inc. today
announced that Mark Sotir has been promoted to president, North American
Vehicle Rental Operations, overseeing the newly consolidated car and truck
rental operations.  Sotir has led the successful efforts to improve the
profitability, productivity and service delivery of Budget Rent a Car and has
overseen the integration of Premier Car Rental into Budget's retail car rental
operations.
    Nick Rossetti, vice president, Truck Operations, and a 15-year veteran at
Ryder TRS, will take on the additional role as senior operating officer for
the Budget Truck Group.
    Additionally, the company announced that Tom Zorn, president, Budget Truck
Group, has resigned from the company to pursue other opportunities.
    "We are very excited to place Mark and Nick in these expanded roles as we
further integrate our car and truck rental businesses.  We look to further
strengthen our dealership network and continue to improve the profitability of
the truck rental segment," stated Budget Group President and Chief Operating
Officer David Siegel.
