InfoMove Partners with Clifford Electronics To Deliver Groundbreaking Internet-enabled Information and Security System

    SEATTLE--Jan. 5, 2000--

Partnership enables wireless devices
to receive InfoMove's real-time,
location specific Internet content in the car

InfoMove today announced a strategic partnership with Clifford Electronics to design and manufacture a specialized information and security system, InfoTrac 1, for the car to connect commuters to InfoMove's wireless-based service.
This new system from Clifford will integrate consumers' existing palm-sized and handheld PC devices as well as Internet-enabled cell phones with the car, and enable delivery of InfoMove's personalized, real-time, location-specific Internet content in the car.
Beginning in Q3 2000, this new system will be sold and installed through Clifford's network of 4,500 car and aftermarket dealerships with an estimated price of $700, subject to variances of specific installation requirements and selected additional accessories.
"Clifford is extending its leading expertise in automotive electronics systems to connect devices to our service," said Peter Holland, president and CEO of InfoMove. "Together we will be able to provide a new, indispensable way for people to safely use wireless devices during their commutes."
"Drivers are demanding easy and safe access to the Internet from the car," said William Franklin, president of Clifford Electronics. "InfoMove's Internet content for the car is a natural fit for our automotive system that essentially InfoMove-enables wireless devices to provide the most seamless connection to its service."

    How InfoMove works

InfoMove's proprietary technology platform utilizes a direct interface with the car to deliver drivers and passengers Internet content and other vehicle-related services in a format that is tailored to the driving environment. The platform includes a vehicle monitoring system that sends information back to InfoMove's server and enables InfoMove to send the user maintenance and recall notices, as well as location-based advertising. Wireless Internet access will be provided through existing CDMA networks, and in the future, through 3G and other wireless networks. Through Clifford's system, InfoMove delivers the following core GPS-based applications:

-- Real-time personalized, and geo-located traffic updates
-- Turn-by-turn, location based driving instructions
-- Real-time vehicle monitoring, diagnostic, maintenance alerts and historical information
-- Profiled location-based advertising
-- E-mail
-- Stocks, weather, news, city guides, shopping, and other Internet information
-- Emergency assistance and concierge services

InfoMove has developed strategic relationships with industry leading organizations to create this unique platform that integrates GPS, wireless and Internet technologies.
InfoMove will offer its service to Internet portals, hardware manufacturers, automotive companies and other organizations as private label and co-branded solutions. Consumers will be able to sign up for the first phase of the service in Q3 2000.
