IPSCO Inc. Today Announced a Series of Appointments
CHICAGO--Jan. 4, 2000--(TSE:IPS.) IPSCO Inc. today announced a series of appointments: Raymond Rarey has been appointed Vice President and Chief Personnel Officer of IPSCO Inc. Mr. Rarey joins IPSCO following a career with several U.S. manufacturing companies. He will be located in IPSCO's executive offices in Lisle, Illinois.Charles Sanida becomes Senior Vice President and Chief Technical Officer. Mr. Sanida is also the Chairman of the Board of IPSCO Saskatchewan Inc. He will be located in IPSCO's executive offices in Lisle, Illinois.
Peter MacPhail becomes Vice President and General Manager, Canadian Steel Mill Products. He is also the President of IPSCO Saskatchewan Inc. Mr. MacPhail will be located in Regina, Saskatchewan.
IPSCO operates a 1,250,000 ton per annum steelworks producing plate and hot rolled coil in Montpelier, Iowa, and is constructing a similar facility in Mobile County, Alabama. Its Paper Cal steel subsidiaries operate coil processing facilities in Houston, Texas, and St. Paul, Minnesota. The company also produces tubular products at plants in Blytheville, Arkansas; Camanche, Iowa; and Geneva, Nebraska.
IPSCO also has a steelworks in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada with 1,000,000 ton per annum capacity, and extensive tubular products, coil processing, and scrap handling activities in five Canadian provinces.
The common shares of IPSCO are traded on the New York and Toronto Stock Exchanges.
