Nissan's rating is based on a comprehensive, year-long evaluation of
suppliers' performance. The review includes quality, response time, cost-
reduction capability, design support, timely shipments, product performance
and complexity, warranty, and Nissan's own vehicle evaluation system.
Glacier Daido is a 70-percent Dana-owned joint venture with Daido Metal of
Japan. A part of Dana's Glacier Vandervell division, Glacier Daido supplies
engine bearings to Nissan's Smyrna, Tenn., manufacturing facility for the V-6
engine used in Nissan's Frontier truck, Quest minivan, and Xterra sport-
utility vehicle.
"Glacier Daido will continue to work to exceed Nissan's expectations,"
said Daniel Moody, vice president of engine products for Dana's Engine Systems
Group. "We are very proud of the teamwork with Nissan that has enabled us to
earn this award."

systems solutions to engine builders worldwide. The group's product lines
