CarJockey.com First To Offer Absolute Sale Vehicle Auctions
OWENSBORO, KY--Jan. 3, 2000--CarJockey.com, a leading provider of real time bidding solutions for automobile dealers, announced its own web site ( http://www.carjockey.com ) is now offering "Absolute Sale" auctions with bids beginning at $1.Since the Absolute Sales were introduced traffic to the site increased over 300% from November to December. "We wanted to make a statement right away," said John Moore, Founder of CarJockey.com. "The response to these sales has been overwhelming. We are going to change the way cars are bought and sold. Sellers utilizing our system let consumers decide what a vehicle is worth, not some arbitrary figure based on best guess estimates."
CarJockey.com's top priority is to make automobile dealers own site a valuable marketing and sales tool. Allowing customers to bid directly from the dealer's site ensures the dealership's sales force will be comfortable helping consumers utilize the bidding system. This is in complete contrast to other companies who have made it a priority to draw the customers away from the dealer and to their own sites.
"All it takes to sign a dealer up is explaining the system," said Moore. "Automobile dealers have deep roots in the community, they know their customers, and most importantly they are much more efficient than public corporations delivering the vehicle. We are placing a win bet on them." John Moore is a part owner in a seven-franchise dealership organization.
Bidding at the CarJockey.com site began in August of 1999. They have been marketing their dealership solution to Automobile dealers since December 15th. CarJockey.com is currently in the process of building up its sales force and plans a nationwide sales and marketing campaign in the first quarter of 2000. Information to dealers will be available at the upcoming NADA Convention in Orlando Florida. Dealers from Colorado to Kentucky have already committed to utilizing the system.
