MSC.Software Initiates ''The Smooth Operator'' Campaign; MSC.Nastran for Linux Bundled with Dell Workstation
LOS ANGELES and COSTA MESA, Calif.--Dec. 28, 1999--MSC.Software Corp. , the world's leading developer of simulation software, today unveiled MSC.Nastran for Linux 2 Go (NFL2GO), the first offering in the company's new winter 2000 campaign to promote the compatibility of the company's core products across multiple operating systems.Customers who purchase a license of MSC.Nastran for Linux 2 Go directly from MSC.Software will receive a Dell Precision Workstation 410 Pentium III Class computer. The promotion, which is available directly from the company, begins Jan. 5 and runs through March 31, 2000.
MSC.Software announced earlier this month that it intended to significantly expand its current line of Linux-compatible software as part of its ongoing commitment to serve growing markets.
MSC.Nastran for Linux 2 Go represents the first of the company's expanded Linux offerings. Customers who purchase MSC.Nastran for Linux 2 Go will receive the workstation pre-loaded and configured for engineering excellence at the flip of a switch.
"With this promotion comes the strong presence of the MSC.Software Corporation combined with the technical excellence of the Linux product," said Frank Perna, chairman and chief executive officer, MSC.Software.
"This brings together forward-moving trends in the simulation industry and the potential for the engineer to cultivate test products earlier in the process of the design to support a booming industry," said Perna.
