Borg-Warner Automotive Air/Fluid Systems Dixon, Illinois Facility Achieves VDACHICAGO, Dec. 21 -- Borg-Warner Automotive, Inc. announced today that the company's Air/Fluid Systems facility in Dixon, Illinois has received VDA 6.1 certification. VDA 6, Part 1, is a required European automotive quality standard for automotive suppliers, and is equivalent to the North American auto industry's QS 9000 certification. The Dixon facility is the first BWA operation in North America to achieve VDA certification. The facility is also QS 9000- and ISO 14000-certified. "Our VDA certification resulted from the dedicated efforts of the employees at the Dixon Plant and the Warren, Michigan Air/Fluid Systems Advanced Technology Center," said Dennis Rusiewski, plant manager of the Dixon operation. "We're very proud of this achievement, and the commitment to product leadership that it represents."
