DaimlerChrysler Corporation Announces Reorganization of Global Chrysler, Jeep(R) and Dodge Sales and Marketing GroupAUBURN HILLS, Mich., Dec. 20 -- DaimlerChrysler announced today a reorganization of DaimlerChrysler Corporation's (DCC) Sales and Marketing group that will centralize global Sales, Marketing, Fleet, Dealer Operations, Training and Mopar Parts. The realignment is designed to establish a true global brand focus for DCC brands -- Chrysler, Jeep(R) and Dodge. "This reorganization represents a much needed step in our efforts to integrate domestic and international marketing processes to establish a global brand management organization, for our Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge brands," said Theodor R. Cunningham, Executive Vice President, Global Sales & Marketing. "By giving Auburn Hills based sales and marketing executives global responsibility, we are further defining how DCC will act as an automotive division of DaimlerChrysler AG." These actions establish an accountable DCC regional sales structure, integrate domestic and international marketing, integrate international fleet, dealer operations, training and Mopar Parts activities, establish a global DCC Service organization by integrating existing domestic and international service organizations and establish a sales and marketing operations and strategy function within DCC. "From an operational point of view, we believe DCC can make the greatest contribution to DaimlerChrysler worldwide by intelligently managing the global business opportunities for our Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge brands," said James P. Holden, President, DaimlerChrysler Corporation. To help bring a global perspective to the company's brands and sales and service groups, the following executives will report to Cunningham: Mr. A.C. (Bud) Liebler, Senior Vice President, Global Brand Marketing Mr. M. John MacDonald, Senior Vice President, Sales and Service Mr. Lawrence W. Baker, Vice President, Mopar Parts Mr. Gary E. Dilts, Vice President, Retail Strategies and Dealer Relations Mr. Myke C. Jacobs, Vice President, AMESA, Central and Eastern Europe Region Mr. Thomas R. Marinelli, Vice President, Europe Region Mr. Steven A. Torok, Vice President, Sales and Marketing Operations and Strategy Mr. Robert D. Frank, Director, Asia Pacific Region Mr. William Klingler, Director, International Advocacy Group Ed Brust, President and CEO, Chrysler Canada and Myles Bryant, President and Managing Director, Chrysler de Mexico continue to report to Cunningham in their current positions. All changes go into effect immediately.
