(PRNewsFoto)[KC] CANTON, OH USA 10/12/1999CANTON, Ohio, Dec. 17 -- The Steelworkers union issued this announcement late last night: (Photo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/19991012/TKRLOGO ) The United Steelworkers of America has reached a tentative agreement with The Timken Company that covers hourly employees at their Canton, Wooster and Columbus plants. The Union Bargaining Committee is recommending that the membership ratify the early agreement. Arrangements are now being made for information and ratification meetings. At that time, the Union Bargaining Committee will explain details of the tentative agreement and answer questions. The current Basic Labor Agreement expires on September 25, 2000. The ratification vote is expected to take place in early January.
