education theme display are just a few of the new activities that will be
featured at the annual Congress, the world's largest automotive engineering
event.
SAE 2000 World Congress will draw nearly 50,000 attendees, have more than
1,200 exhibits and over 1,300 technical presentations over four days.
In addition, computer software and hardware companies will have an
interactive demonstration area in Michigan Hall where they can give attendees
the chance for "hands-on" experience with the latest automotive computer
hardware and software.
Advanced vehicle electronics, intelligent transportation systems, and the
latest in electronic vehicle controls development will share the spotlight at
the Intelligent Vehicle Electronics Conference, a conference within the
Congress. This conference will be co-sponsored by the German automotive
association VDI (Verein Deutscher Ingenieure).
Leading automotive and consumer designers will gather at the Blue Ribbon
Panel on Automotive Design on Monday, March 6, from 4-6 p.m. to describe how
they bring new products from concept to reality.
Experts in the field of cultural awareness will address the advantages of
cultural sensitivity in global organizations at the Cultural Diversity Panel

Two more luncheon/panels on Wednesday, March 8, and Thursday, March 9,
from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., highlight the list of numerous special World Congress
