Pro Technical Products and NAPA Auto and Truck Parts Announce Online Purchasing and Distribution Agreement

    ROCKFORD, Ill., Dec. 15 -- NAPA Auto and Truck Parts, the
world's leading source of quality vehicle parts, tools, and accessories, and
Pro Technical Products, the leading Internet-based supply chain solutions
company, announced they have entered into a two year renewable contract for
overseas electronic procurement and distribution services.  Using its online
ordering system in conjunction with a sophisticated, user-friendly web
cataloging system, Pro Technical will provide quality NAPA automotive parts to
US Military bases overseas.  This agreement was finalized on September 21st,
1999.
    The company will act as an extension of NAPA Auto and Truck Parts under
their Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) with the Defense Logistics Agency.  Pro
Technical will provide NAPA automotive and truck parts including associated
tools, shop equipment and supply items to DoD facilities and customers in the
Far East, Asia and Europe. (Pro Technical Products was recently granted DoD
MRO Prime Vendor contracts for the North Central Region of the United States
and for all US military bases in Japan.)
    Pro Technical will optimize current procedures by having base personnel
use its web-based procurement system, while Pro Technical's local servers
collect specific fleet profiles to generate custom catalogs for each base's
motor pool.  Government customers will receive streamlined e-commerce
solutions as well as Pro Technical's technical expertise in process
optimization.  Additionally, logistics and transportation services will be
provided for select overseas facilities.
