SANLUIS Rassini Receives Quality Awards from Nissan
    MEXICO CITY, Dec. 15 -- SANLUIS Rassini, a leading supplier
of highly engineered autoparts to original equipment manufacturers, today
announced that it had received two quality awards from NISSAN.  The New
Xalostoc Plant in Mexico City was awarded, for the second consecutive year,
Nissan's Award of Excellence.  The Rassini NHK Coil Springs Plant in Piedras
Negras, Mexico, was also awarded, for the second consecutive year, Nissan's
Zero Defects Award.  SANLUIS Rassini is a subsidiary of
SANLUIS Corporacion S.A. de C.V. (BMV: SANLUIS).
    The Award of Excellence, also known as Yushu Shoh, is based on achieving
superior levels of product quality, service, product development, and price.
After being presented with the Excellence Award for three consecutive times,
suppliers receive NISSAN's Maximum Excellence Award.  The Zero Defects Award
is given to suppliers whose products have achieved very low-close to
zero-rejection rates.  The awards were presented by Mr. Horoshi Yoshioka,
President and CEO of Nissan Mexicana, at a ceremony at the Nikko Hotel in
Mexico City.
    "These awards hold special significance for us since they recognize
SANLUIS Rassini as a worldwide leader in product quality and they reconfirm
our objective of providing complete customer satisfaction," said Enrique
Villase(TM) or, President of SANLUIS Rassini.  "We are deeply honored that
NISSAN has once again identified us as one of their most qualified suppliers,"
he added.
