Mannesmann: Regional Court of Duesseldorf Dismissed Claim for an Injunction

    DUESSELDORF, Germany, Dec. 14 -- The Regional Court of
Duesseldorf today dismissed the claim for an injunction against Mannesmann
made by three minority shareholders.  The Court upheld the position of
Mannesmann in all respects.  It stated that the basis for the alleged claims
does not exist.
    A Mannesmann spokesman confirmed that the company is pleased with the
decision of the Court.  "We have always recognised that shareholder interests
are paramount.  It is precisely for this reason that we have been explaining
our strategy and prospects for growth to investors and continue to do so."
