Safety Components Announces Engagement of Banc of America Securities LLCGREENVILLE, S.C., Dec. 10 -- Safety Components International, Inc. , one of the world's leading manufacturers of automotive airbag fabric and cushions, announced today that it has retained Banc of America Securities LLC as its financial advisor. The Company said that, under this engagement, BAS will assist the Company in evaluating financial alternatives intended to reduce the Company's financing costs and improve its liquidity. The Company said these alternatives may include, but are not limited to, a refinancing of outstanding indebtedness or recapitalization or restructuring of the Company's balance sheet. Mr. Robert A.
