Kafus Bio-Composites Plant Now Fully Operational; Elkhart, Indiana Facility Ships Product to Ford, GM, Chrysler & Others

    BOSTON--Dec. 9, 1999--On Dec. 9, 1999 Kafus Industries Inc. (AMEX:KS), reported that its Bio-Composites manufacturing division in Elkhart, Ind. is fully operational and is currently shipping Flexform(TM) natural fiber composites mats to leading automotive trim manufacturers for application in model 2000 automobiles.
    In the forementioned press release, Kafus Bio-Composites inadvertently referred to its Flexform(TM) product as Flexply. The Company wishes to advise that neither Kafus Bio-Composites nor Kafus Industries Inc. has any interest in or connection to Flexply.
