Federal-Mogul Announces Centennial Time Capsule Contest Grand Prize WinnersSOUTHFIELD, Mich., Dec. 9 -- Federal-Mogul time capsules from Blacksburg, Virginia; Skokie, Illinois; Van Wert, Ohio; and Schofield, Wisconsin, were selected by the Federal-Mogul Board of Directors as grand prize winners in the company's global time capsule contest sponsored to commemorate Federal-Mogul's centennial. The time capsule winners were chosen based on five categories: capsule design; contents selected; employee involvement; community support; and time capsule presentation. Four facilities were honored by the Federal-Mogul Board of Directors with honorable mention awards: Boyertown, Pennsylvania, for team involvement; Summerton, South Carolina, for community support; Toledo, Ohio, for time capsule design; and Chungnam, Korea, for time capsule presentation. "We were very impressed with the level of team involvement behind the grand prize winners," said Dick Snell, chairman and chief executive officer. "Every entry did a wonderful job in bringing together our employees, their families and their communities to celebrate our centennial." Twelve Federal-Mogul locations are finalists in the corporate-sponsored time capsule contest: Ashland, Mississippi; Berkeley, Missouri; Bridgwater, England; Chapel-en-le-Frith, England; Malden, Missouri; Manitowoc, Wisconsin; Mondovi, Italy; Salisbury, North Carolina; Scottsville, Kentucky; Southfield, Michigan; Smithville, Tennessee; and Weston, Florida.
