Keithley Announces Promotions, New Hire
CLEVELAND--Dec. 8, 1999--Keithley Instruments, Inc. , a leader in the test and measurement industry, today announced the promotion of three staff members and the addition of a Direct Marketing Manager, a new position.Mark Hoersten has been promoted to Telecommunications Test Business Manager. In his new position, Hoersten will be responsible for generating and managing global sales for Keithley products to the telecommunications industry. A Registered Professional Engineer, Hoersten joined Keithley in 1980 as a Design Engineer and has since held a number of engineering and marketing positions. Hoersten received his BSEE from the University of Toledo, MSEE from Cleveland State University, and MBA from Case Western Reserve University.
Linda Rae has been promoted to Component Test Business Manager. In her new position, Rae will be responsible for generating and managing sales for Keithley's Automotive, Optoelectronics, Computer and Peripherals segments. Rae joined Keithley in 1995 as a Product Marketer and was later promoted to Market Development Manager. Rae earned her BSEE from the University of Florida, and her MSEE and MBA from Case Western Reserve University.
Ellen Modock has been promoted to Manager of Marketing Communications. In her new position, Modock will be responsible for promoting the company's brand image and awareness in both traditional and online media. Modock joined Keithley in 1981 as a Technical Editor/Writer and has held numerous positions within the organization, including Manuals Supervisor, Marketing Communications Supervisor and Marketing Programs Manager. Modock received her BA in Journalism from Marquette University.
Alan Gaffney has joined Keithley as Direct Marketing Manager. In this position, Gaffney will be responsible for global direct marketing and e-commerce efforts. Prior to joining Keithley, Gaffney worked for Diebold, where he was responsible for domestic and international direct marketing programs. He also worked for the Irish Trade Board in Dublin where he identified and developed direct marketing opportunities for U.S. companies in the Irish market. Gaffney earned his B.Sc. in Management and Advanced Diploma in Marketing and Business Studies from Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland.
