New Appointment at DaimlerChrysler Wilfried Porth New Head of Executive Management Development

    STUTTGART, Germany and AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Dec. 7 --
DaimlerChrysler has appointed Wilfried Porth Head of Executive
Management Development.  Porth is currently a Member of the Management Team at
DaimlerChrysler South Africa with responsibility for production and thus the
DaimlerChrysler plant in East London.  He will be taking over his new
appointment effective January 1, 2000.
