The North Carolina Quality Leadership Award focuses on organizations' achievements in seven areas: leadership, strategic planning, customer and market focus, information and analysis, human resource development and management, process management, and performance results. To receive the award, organizations must demonstrate significant achievements in each area, as measured by a team of examiners and panel of judges. "Our people really pulled together to demonstrate Dana's emphasis on quality and performance," said Jess Anderson, Spicer Morganton plant manager. "I am proud to be a part of this team." The award program is sponsored and administered by the North Carolina Quality Leadership Foundation, a cooperative industry-academic-government initiative founded in 1990 to support quality education and training, research, technology transfer, and recognition and promotion activities.
