Textron Automotive Signs Freight Contract With Con-Way Central Express
ANN ARBOR, Mich.--Dec. 7, 1999--Textron Automotive Company, Inc., a subsidiary of Textron, Inc., and Con-Way Central Express (CCX) have signed a freight contract awarding CCX a portion of the automotive supplier's less-than-truckload freight.Terms of the contract were not disclosed but CON-WAY officials said they were excited about their role in Textron's distribution plans. "We are very pleased to have received Textron's confidence in our service. Reducing inventory cycle times and providing superior service is what we pride ourselves on and Textron can expect the same. We look forward to this new partnership," said David S. McClimon, vice president, sales for CCX.
