Lexus Records Best-Ever November in Midwest
CHICAGO, Dec. 6 -- Lexus Central Area dealers established a
November sales record in the Midwest with sales of 2,434 vehicles, a 16
percent increase over November 1998.
The best-selling Lexus sport utility vehicle, the RX300, doubled its sales
from last year, posting a 57 percent increase, its best November ever. Sales
of the RX300 and the LX470 sports utility vehicles combined, accounted for 60
percent of the Central Area's sales.
"Lexus enjoyed the best November ever in its history because it offers the
luxury buyer a choice of vehicles that fit their needs, at very attractive
prices," said Nancy Davies, area manager for the Lexus Central Area. "Our
continued high resale value across the line made November an outstanding time
to purchase or lease a Lexus vehicle."
The Central Area outsold all major luxury car competitors, both domestic
and imports, in November, mirroring the entire Lexus line in the U.S.
Headquartered in Naperville, Illinois, the Lexus Central Area distributes
Lexus vehicles and provides sales, service, parts and customer support to 39
dealers in the Midwest.
