Intermet Board Elects Pamela Rodgers to Board of Directors
    TROY, Mich., Dec. 2 -- Intermet Corporation
today announced the election of Pamela Rodgers to its board of directors.
    "We are pleased to have someone of Pamela Rodgers caliber and background
on our board," said John Doddridge, chairman and chief executive officer of
Intermet.  "Pam has wide ranging management experience and her entrepreneurial
skills will be a real asset to Intermet as we go forward with our growth
objectives.  We welcome her to the board and look forward to benefiting from
her contributions as a director of Intermet."
    Rodgers has over 15 years of experience in the automotive retailing
industry.  She is currently president of Rodgers Chevrolet located in
Woodhaven, Michigan.  Previously, Rodgers was president of Flat Rock
Chevrolet-Oldsmobile, which she consolidated with the current Woodhaven
location.  She has been a General Motors dealer for the past seven years.
Prior to this Rodgers served as general manager of Harrell Chevrolet-
Oldsmobile in Flat Rock, Michigan, a position she held until 1993.
    Rodgers serves on the board of the General Motors Minority Dealers
Association, the National Association of Minority Automobile Dealers, Family
Services of Detroit and Wayne County, and Michigan's Children.  She also is
affiliated with the National Black MBA Association and the Women's Automotive
Association.
    A Michigan native, Rodgers holds an economics degree from the University
of Michigan, Ann Arbor and an MBA in finance from Duke University in Durham,
North Carolina.
