Pestillo Makes Four Key Appointments at Visteon
    DEARBORN, Mich., Dec. 2 -- Peter J. Pestillo, chairman-elect
of Visteon Automotive Systems, today announced the appointments of four senior
executives who will join Visteon on Jan. 1, 2000.
    "Each is a respected leader and will play a major role in helping ensure
the success of Visteon," Pestillo said.  "This company is going to grow, and
these new members of the team will be key leaders in this exciting
transformation."
    The appointments announced today:

    *  Bob Marcin is appointed head of all personnel functions at Visteon.
Since August 1998, Marcin has served as executive director, Labor Affairs,
Ford Motor Company, in charge of labor worldwide.  He was the chief negotiator
in the recently completed U.S. national contract talks with the UAW.  Marcin
joined Ford in 1973 with Ford Aerospace.  He also was executive vice
president-director, External and Employee Affairs, at First Nationwide
Financial Corporation.
    *  Susan Skerker will head corporate relations at Visteon.  She has been
senior director, Global Public Policy, Ford Motor Company, since 1994.  In
that role, Skerker was responsible for developing public policy strategies on
issues affecting the auto industry.  She joined Ford in 1973 after serving
with the U.S. Department of Commerce.
    *  Stacy L. Fox is appointed general counsel.  She comes to her new
position from Johnson Controls Inc., where she has been group vice president
and general counsel since 1993.  She led Johnson Controls' Legal Department
and Environmental, Health and Safety Department for the worldwide Automotive
Systems Group.
    *  Dan Coulson is appointed chief financial officer.  Since 1994, Coulson
has been director of Accounting for Ford, responsible for the company's
worldwide accounting organization and policies, and external financial
reporting and payroll operations.  He joined Ford as an accountant in 1965.

Visteon to its next level of independence by developing people and
organizational strategies necessary to become the world's leading full-service
automotive systems supplier," Pestillo said.
    Pestillo was appointed chairman and chief executive officer of Visteon on
Nov. 12, effective Jan. 1.  He currently is vice chairman and chief of staff,
Ford Motor Company .
    Visteon was launched in September 1997 and had global sales in 1998 of
$17.8 billion.  Visteon has 77,000 employees in 21 countries and has more than
125 manufacturing, engineering, sales and technical centers.
