Rev up Your Engines for the 2000 Philadelphia International Auto Show!PHILADELPHIA, Dec. 2 -- The first Philadelphia International Auto Show of the Millennium is just down the road! It parks at the Pennsylvania Convention Center from Saturday, January 29 through Sunday, February 6, 2000. This premier auto event is the largest annual exhibition held at the Convention Center, utilizing approximately 550,000 square feet of space. Auto enthusiasts of any age will enjoy this year's show, which features over 700 vehicles from more than 35 automobile manufacturers, including east coast premieres, new production cars, race cars, vintage cars, concept cars, prototypes and luxury cars. In addition, there will be family entertainment and special appearances made by celebrities such as Philadelphia Flyers center Eric Lindros. One dollar from every show ticket sold will be donated to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). In addition, CHOP will receive an annual pledge of $175,000 from the proceeds of the Black Tie Tailgate, a preview event held on January 28, the evening before the show opens. The 2000 Philadelphia International Auto Show is produced by the Automobile Dealers Association of Greater Philadelphia. Show hours are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays, and noon to 10 p.m. weekdays. Admission is $9.00 for adults (13 and over), $5.00 for children (7 through 12), and free for children six and under.
