American Suzuki's November Sales Hit an 11 Year High; Another Record-Breaking Month of Increased Sales Due to Heightened Suzuki Image
BREA, Calif--Dec. 1, 1999--Riding the crest of strong consumer demand for small SUVs, American Suzuki Motor Company sold 45,529 vehicles for the year through November, an impressive 30 percent increase over sales for the same period last year.American Suzuki total sales for November was 4,115 vehicles, a 46 percent increase over November 1998 sales. The Grand Vitara sold briskly through November, posting 2,408 sales, a whopping 70 percent increase over November 1998 sales.
"This is Suzuki's strongest November sales month in more than a decade," said Gary Anderson, American Suzuki Motor Corporation vice president of sales and marketing. "The Grand Vitara continues to grow in popularity and impress American consumers as being great value for their dollar."
American Suzuki's popularity with the public and brand awareness continues to increase with the corporation's redoubled efforts to bring the Suzuki name to the forefront of consumers' minds.
This month, Suzuki geared up for the announcement of the Heisman Trophy winner in December, as part of its $35 million, three-year sponsorship of one of America's top sport awards. For the first time in the 64-year history of the Heisman Trophy, the public was able to cast a ballot for their choice of the top college football player at a Suzuki Automotive dealership.
In addition, American Suzuki sponsored the Seattle Marathon, an event that drew thousands of participants and spectators.
