    DETROIT, Dec. 1 -- IMPCO Technologies, Inc.
announced they have named Michael W. Held as Director of Operations for the
Industrial Engine System (IES) division based in Sterling Heights, Michigan.

    As Director of Operations, Michael will be responsible for Manufacturing,
Quality, Engineering, Purchasing, and Materials Management, including Design,
Development, Manufacture, Test, Validate, and Certification of industrial
engine systems for the forklift and industrial engine applications with a
global customer base including Europe and Asia.
    Before joining IES, Michael held various positions with General Motors in
both the car and powertrain groups -- most recently as Program Manager for the
Delta Program, 2003 Saturn S Series.  Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in
Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University and a Master of Business
Administration from the University of Michigan.
