Local Thrifty Car Rental Opens at the New Frontier
    LAS VEGAS, Nov. 30 -- Qualcar, L.L.C. dba Thrifty Car Rental
of Las Vegas, continues to expand in the local market with the December 1st
opening of a new hotel facility located inside the New Frontier.
    "With the addition of the New Frontier location, this further strengthens
Thrifty's local presence in the Las Vegas valley," said franchise owner David
Rosen.  "This new location comes on the heels of our recent move into Las
Vegas' McCarran International Airport, Las Vegas Executive and Henderson
Executive Airports which has already made a huge impact on our ability to
serve customers."
    With the new location, Thrifty currently has five locations in the Las
Vegas area.  According to Rosen, Thrifty plans to add several new locations in
the next year.
    Opened in 1942, the Last Frontier was the second hotel to open on the
Strip.  After the hotel was demolished and numerous expansions later, the
hotel was sold to Phil Ruffin in 1997 who changed the name to The New
Frontier.  The New Frontier is located on the Las Vegas Strip across from the
Desert Inn, adjacent to the Fashion Show Mall -- home to the famous Gilley's
Dance Hall and Saloon!
