)(IL-ADP-DEALER-SERVICES-2)(AUD) ADP Alliance DMS System Receives DaimlerChrysler DSP Certification

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill.--Nov. 30, 1999--ADP's Alliance(TM) dealer management system (DMS) has become one of only five such systems to date to receive DaimlerChrysler's Dealership Service Provider (DSP) Certification. The certification means that the Alliance system has proven that it supports all of the 13 currently-required interfaces with DaimlerChrysler's dealer communication system (DCS). ADP also supports 9 additional interfaces that are optional at this time. With 39 existing and planned interfaces to its DCS system, DaimlerChrysler has by far the largest and most complex DCS system of any automobile manufacturer.
John Gray, Senior Vice President - Marketing and e-business for ADP, said "We are proud that our Alliance System is one of the first to meet Chrysler's stringent requirements. Chrysler has taken the lead in improving communications with its dealers by developing and implementing robust new interfaces. We intend to actively participate by providing support for new interfaces as they are defined." ADP provides Elite(TM) and Alliance DMS systems to more than 1800 Chrysler dealers, more than any other software vendor. Among the five vendors that have received DSP certification, ADP is by far the most widely used among Chrysler dealers.
DaimlerChrysler-mandated interfaces currently supported by ADP Alliance include new vehicle dealer registration, vehicle inventory download, WRO, recall claims, parts orders, GPOP parts orders, 5300 inventory extract, 5300 cycle counting, financial statement, Ethernet capable, access via DSP, Ethernet routed print, help desk telephone support and Year 2000 compliant. ADP Alliance also supports the following optional interfaces: transportation claims, MOPAR claims, parts returns, wholesale compensation, online functions, CIS/DSP Ethernet connected, next business day service and repair and dealership site training courses.
ADP's Alliance DMS system is a Windows-based suite of core dealership management application products implemented on a local area network. Alliance is designed to meet the unique needs of smaller new and used car dealers who need fewer than 20 workstations. Alliance provides an affordable solution backed by ADP's extensive support. Alliance can also be configured to run on a single workstation without a network.
Alliance offers Open Data Base Connectivity (ODBC) integration with most popular databases, Crystal Reports and Microsoft Office(R). The server runs on Windows NT(R) and clients run on Windows(R) 95/98/NT. ADP Alliance applications include accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, check writing, parts inventory, parts invoicing, on line masters, tent sales, vehicle inventory, service merchandising, repair order invoicing, warrantee wizard, financing and incentives and service pricing.
