Holiday RV Superstores Announces New Tradename
The RV and Boat Dealer Will Become Recreation USA in 2000

LOUISVILLE, Ky., Nov. 30 -- Holiday RV Superstores, Inc.
will change its tradename to Recreation USA in 2000 as the next
step toward creating a nationwide network of recreational vehicle and marine
dealerships.
The Orlando, Fla. dealership chain, which announced the name change at the
RV industry's biggest trade show this week, said Recreation USA describes the
Company's mission to provide customers with one-stop shopping for RVs and
boats throughout the United States. Holiday RV intends to build a strong,
national brand under the Recreation USA name that will set the standard for RV
and marine dealerships from Florida to California -- and all points between.
The change will be effective after Jan. 1, 2000.
"The new name will help establish Recreation USA dealerships as the
recognized leader in the national RV and boat retail arena," said Hardee
McAlhaney, president and chief executive officer of Holiday RV. "We want our
customers to know the Recreation USA name and to know that it is synonymous
with high-quality products, a superior sales staff and excellent service in
all of our dealerships."
Holiday RV unveiled its new tradename and logo at the national
Recreational Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA) show, which begins today in
Louisville.
The Company announced plans earlier this year to become a $1 billion
retailer by consolidating the nation's $16 billion RV industry. Holiday RV,
which is the nation's only publicly traded RV dealership, nearly doubled in
size this month after completing its first acquisition in this industry roll-
up when it purchased $70 million County Line Select Cars and RVs, Inc. The
Company now owns and operates 12 dealerships in Florida, South Carolina, New
Mexico and California.
"County Line's leadership team brings more than 40 years combined
experience in the RV industry to our company and gives us the operational
platform to accelerate our acquisition efforts moving forward," McAlhaney
said.
McAlhaney said the County Line management team, led by founder and
president Armando Alonso and vice president Frank Alonso, have joined Holiday
RV. Armando has been named senior vice president and general manager for
Holiday RV's Florida division and will assume many of the duties of recently
departed chief operating officer Victor Hess. Frank was named assistant
general manager for the Florida division.
McAlhaney also reported that both Holiday RV Superstores and County Line
stores will retain their individual tradenames until the Recreation USA
tradename is fully implemented. McAlhaney said this will allow dealerships
who join the Recreation USA family to retain years of local goodwill in their
communities, while capitalizing on the brand benefits of a national dealership
chain.
"We recognize that many customers have long-standing relationships with
local dealers," said Michael Riley, chairman of Holiday RV. "Being part of
the Recreation USA network will only enhance that relationship by bringing the
resources -- and buying power -- of a nationwide company.
"Our nationwide network will allow all our dealerships to take advantage
of competitive pricing, large brand selection and a coast-to-coast service and
repair network, filling a void that exists in the RV retail market today."
Holiday RV Superstores is the nation's only publicly traded chain of
dealerships specializing in sales of recreational vehicles and boats. The
Company sells, services and finances more than 50 RV and boat brands --
including Airstream, Beaver, Fleetwood, National RV, Rexhall, Thor, Winnebago,
Bayliner, Sea Ray and Mariah -- from its chain of 12 dealerships in
California, Florida, New Mexico and South Carolina.
