ARMO Award Winners Announced at '99 SEMA Show * ITE
    DIAMOND BAR, Calif., Nov. 30 -- The Automotive Restoration
Market Organization (ARMO), a council of the Specialty Equipment Market
Association (SEMA), held an awards ceremony honoring this year's ARMO Hall of
Fame recipient and ARMO Person of the Year in Las Vegas at the '99 SEMA Show *
ITE.
    ARMO presented Gary Anderson of A&M SoffSeal Inc. with the ARMO Hall of
Fame Award and Matt Agosta of Steele Rubber Products Inc. with the ARMO Person
of the Year Award.
    The ARMO Hall of Fame Award celebrates the individual who has demonstrated
a consistent, long-lasting and significant contribution to the restoration
industry.
    The ARMO Person of the Year Award honors an individual who has displayed a
significant contribution to the restoration industry within the past year.
    Jeff Moses presented the ARMO Hall of Fame Award to Gary Anderson and Gary
Anderson presented Matt Agosta with the ARMO Person of the Year Award.
    "SEMA is proud to recognize these two outstanding individuals as leaders
of their industry," commented Bill Bainbridge, SEMA vice president of
marketing.
    SEMA is a trade association comprised of more than 3,600 member companies
that make up the specialty automotive aftermarket industry.  The seven diverse
niches in which SEMA members specialize include light-truck, off-road, racing
and performance, street rod and restoration, and restyling.  All combined, the
markets add up to $21.2 billion in retail business annually.
