W. K. Daniel Named President - Arvin Replacement Products

    COLUMBUS, Ind.--Nov. 29, 1999--V. William Hunt, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Arvin Industries, Inc. , announced today that William K. (Dan) Daniel has been promoted to President of the Arvin Replacement Products Business Group (ARP). In this capacity he will be responsible for ARP business activities worldwide and will report directly to Bill Hunt.
    Dan joined Arvin in 1987 as a Management Associate in the Arvin Management Development Program after earning his BA degree from DePauw University. He later earned his MBA degree from the University of Virginia.
    Dan has progressed through positions of increasing responsibility in the ARP group such as Business Unit Manager, Vice President, Sales, and most recently Managing Director, Arvin Replacement Products Europe.
    Dan, his wife Robin, and their three children have relocated to Columbus from Paris, France.
