Mannesmann: Seat in the Supervisory Board for Hutchison

    DUSSELDORF, Germany, Nov. 25 -- Canning Fok (48), Group
Managing Director of Hutchison Whampoa Limited, will become member of the
Mannesmann Supervisory Board.  Following the offer by Mannesmann for Orange
plc Hutchison Whampoa is the largest shareholder of Mannesmann with a stake
of approx. 10.2 per cent.
    Hutchison Whampoa held a stake of approx. 45 per cent in Orange plc and
acquires the Mannesmann shares in exchange for its Orange shares.
    Canning Fok takes the seat of Professor Manfred Weck (62). Professor Weck
has agreed to become member of the Supervisory Board of Engineering &
Automotive AG which will be founded soon.
