Caliber Collision Centers Acquires Its Fourth Center in Austin, Texas
IRVINE, Calif.--Nov. 24, 1999--Caliber Collision Centers, an Irvine-based operator of high-quality collision repair facilities in California and Texas, continues to fortify its presence in the Austin marketplace with the completed acquisition of Lamar Body Shop.The acquisition brings the total number of Caliber Collision Centers in Austin to four, and 15 in the state of Texas. Caliber Collision also operates 13 centers in California.
"Lamar Body Shop has maintained a consistent reputation for quality collision repair since its establishment more than 30 years ago," said Matthew Ohrnstein, president and chief executive officer of Caliber Collision Centers.
"Owners Jimmy and Sharon Finger built their organization on a foundation of high-quality repairs, uncompromising customer service and integrity -- making it one of the most respected centers in Austin.
"This acquisition will help Caliber substantiate its commitment to quality with its insurance partners while also allowing more car owners in Austin the opportunity to enjoy the Caliber collision repair experience."
According to Ohrnstein, the repair center consistently demonstrates models of high-efficiency and quality service because of the skill of its technicians combined with the managerial excellence of its previous owners, the Fingers. Jimmy Finger is working with Caliber Collision to oversee construction that will double the size of the center to more than 20,000 square feet.
