Rod Adams Appointed New President of Mexican Industries
    DETROIT, Nov. 24 -- Mexican Industries, one of the world's
premier manufacturers of auto parts and supplies and one of the nation's most
successful minority-owned companies has appointed Rod Adams as President and
Chief Operating Officer.  Adams succeeds J. Daniel Hess who resigned to pursue
new career opportunities.
    Adams, formerly vice president of operations at Mexican Industries brings
over 30 years of manufacturing management experience to this new position.
He was previously responsible for operations, purchasing/scheduling,
engineering and inventory management.  Adams will now oversee day-to-day
operations and conduct long-range planning for all aspects of Mexican
Industries and its three joint venture subsidiaries: Aguirre Safety
Technologies L.L.C., Mexican Industries and TRW; Aguirre, Collins & Aikman,
L.L.C., Mexican Industries and Collins & Aikman Automotive Plastics; and Dos
Manos Technologies, L.L.C., Mexican Industries and Cambridge Industries,
Inc.

sisters Pam and Jill Aguirre, serve as joint co-chairs of Mexican Industries

    Mexican Industries was founded in 1979 by the late former Detroit Tigers
pitching star, Hank Aguirre, who provided increased employment opportunities
to Detroit Latino, Hispanic and other minority communities.  Mexican
Industries grew from a family-operated single facility in Detroit's southwest
Hispanic section to 11 facilities in Michigan and Arizona.  The company
employs about 1,500 persons, 90% of whom reside in southwest Detroit.
