Exide Corporation Announces Senior Executive Resignations
    READING, Pa., Nov. 22 -- Exide Corporation , today
announced the resignations of Nicholas Stratigeas, executive vice president of
sales and marketing, North America, and Rex E. Luzader, vice president for
O.E. sales.
    The resignations came as Exide continues to reorganize its global
business.  Robert A. Lutz, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Exide,
said, "I would like to thank both men for their dedication and commitment to
Exide over the years and for their assistance to me in the year I have worked
with them."
    Both executives left the company to pursue other interests.  No successors
were named to either position.  Exide management said it would have no further
comment on the resignations.
