AMETEK Names Isaac S. Smalls Vice President - Financial ReportingPAOLI, Pa., Nov. 22 -- AMETEK Inc. today announced that the Board of Directors has elected Mr. Isaac S. Smalls, Vice President - Financial Reporting. He was most recently Director - Financial Reporting. In his new role, Mr. Smalls will be responsible for AMETEK's financial and tax reporting and compliance. Robert Mandos, AMETEK Vice-President and Comptroller, said, "Ike has demonstrated a consistent record of success during his twenty-two years with AMETEK. Most recently, Ike has led the Corporate Financial Reporting organization through significant process and cost improvements in an increasingly complex reporting environment. His technical and managerial skills will enable him to continue the improvement and streamlining of our financial and tax reporting processes." Mr. Smalls joined AMETEK in 1977 as a staff accountant. In 1986 he was named Assistant Comptroller and Manager - Financial Reporting and in 1994 was named Director - Financial Reporting. Prior to joining AMETEK, Mr. Smalls was employed by the Philadelphia office of Ernst & Young, formerly Arthur Young. Mr. Smalls is a 1972 graduate of Rutgers University with a B.S. degree in Accounting and Economics. He is also a member of the Financial Executives Institute.
