AMD Wins Leading Edge Award From the Volkswagen Group
SUNNYVALE, Calif.--Nov. 22, 1999--AMD today announced that it has recently received the Volkswagen Leading Edge 98 award for its Flash memory devices.Volkswagen, one of the world's premier automotive manufacturers, incorporates a variety of AMD Flash memory devices in the Engine Control Unit (ECU) in nearly all of its vehicles. The award recognizes AMD's Flash memory products for their technology leadership in the areas of low power consumption, high endurance, wide temperature ranges, and high reliability.
