Johnson Controls Increases Dividend for 25th Consecutive YearMILWAUKEE, Nov. 17 -- The Directors of Johnson Controls, Inc. today increased the quarterly cash dividend on common shares to $.28 per share from $.25. The dividend is payable January 5, 2000 to shareholders of record December 15, 1999. With the increase, the indicated annual dividend rate for fiscal 2000 is $1.12 up from $1.00 in 1999. Johnson Controls has increased its dividend for 25 consecutive years. It has paid consecutive dividends since 1885. "Today's increase reflects our record results in 1999, strong financial position and confidence that we will achieve another year of double-digit earnings growth in 2000," said James H.
