(PRNewsFoto)[DM] TOLEDO, OH USA 09/03/1999DANVILLE, Ky., Nov. 17 -- Dana Corporation announced today its Victor Reinz division will begin manufacturing multi- layered steel (MLS) head gaskets in its Danville, Ky., facility to help fulfill new contracts with several major OEMs. This is the first time Dana will produce these highly durable, optimum-performance head gaskets in the United States. The company developed and currently produces MLS head gaskets in Europe. The group will supply approximately 12 million MLS head gaskets through the 2005 model year to automotive, heavy duty, and small engine customers. "As the world's largest sealing provider, we will continue to find ways to increase our speed-to-market capabilities for our global customers," said Heinz Eilks, vice president of sealing products for Dana's Engine Systems Group. "Manufacturing our MLS head gaskets in the United States is another step in bringing our customers quality products faster."
