Collins & Aikman Appoints Glenn Peacock, Director - Corporate CommunicationsTROY, Mich., Nov. 16 -- Collins & Aikman Corporation today announced the appointment of Glenn Peacock to the position of Director of Corporate Communications. Peacock will oversee the Company's expanding integrated communication programs including employee communications, industry and government relations, and advertising and corporate marketing campaigns. He will play a lead role in further building the Company's image through media relations and will also provide direction in establishing and coordinating the Company's web-based communication initiatives. Previous to joining Collins & Aikman, Peacock was Director of Marketing and Public Affairs for the International Hearing Society where he managed media relations programs, provided direction to legislative and regulatory affairs activities, and developed various sales and marketing programs. Before serving at the International Hearing Society, Peacock was the Director of Communications for the Michigan Sugar Company where he developed and managed all aspects of the company's communications programs. His responsibilities there included employee communications, production of the annual report, and development of a wide array of consumer and industrial product advertising and marketing communication campaigns. Peacock holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Michigan University. He is a member of the Public Relations Society of America and serves on several of the Detroit chapter's committees.
