I.D. Systems Receives Order from General Motors; Adds Second of Big Three Auto Makers to Client Base
    NEW YORK, Nov. 16 -- I.D. Systems, Inc. , a
leader in wireless monitoring systems for industry, today announced that
General Motors Corp. has placed a $50,000 order for I.D. Systems'
automated vehicle tracking and management system. I.D. Systems will install
its technology on 35 forklifts in a pilot program at General Motors'

at Ford Motor Co.
Kenneth Ehrman, I.D. Systems president, said, "Our agreement with General
Motors exemplifies our strategy to diversify our revenue base while remaining
focused on procuring contracts with top caliber companies. Simultaneously,
we've been able to add contracts with such Fortune 500 clients as Ford Motor
Co., Federal Express and Dana Commercial Credit Corp, a subsidiary of Dana
Corp."
General Motors will monitor its material handling vehicles using I.D.
Systems radio frequency-based technology, enabling managers to track vehicle
locations to increase plant safety, monitor regular maintenance schedules and
ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)

Ehrman continued, "We anticipate that upon completion of the pilot program
General Motors will have recorded substantial operating efficiencies within
its facility. We've found that as customers experience the potential for
savings in such critical areas as maintenance, operational management, OSHA
compliance and plant safety, they quickly place follow-on orders for
additional facility coverage."
