HK Systems, Inc. Software "In Production" at Keystone Automotive

12 November 1999

HK Systems, Inc. Software "In Production" at Keystone Automotive Industries, Inc.

MILWAUKEE--Nov. 11, 1999--HK Systems(R) today announced that Keystone Automotive Industries, a leading North American distributor of automotive body parts, recently migrated HK Systems' SCM/Enterprise Financial Management System(TM) (FMS) -- Accounts Payable and General Ledger software modules into live production at their corporate headquarters in Pomona, California. A second division based in Brentwood, Tennessee has also been implemented. Using the experience from Keystone's first site, the second migration was completed in six weeks.
Part of HK Systems' Enterprise FMS suite, the General Ledger and Accounts Payable modules implementation represents the first of a multi-stage implementation replacing all of Keystone's corporate systems. The next phase of the project will see the Enterprise FMS Accounts Receivable and Fixed Assets modules go live. Moreover, subsequent phases will see the implementation of the entire SCM/Enterprise Distribution Suite including SCM/Enterprise OMS(TM) (Sales Order Management), Enterprise/RMS(TM) (Inventory Forecasting and Purchasing) and SCM/Enterprise BMS(TM) (Inventory Control and Warehousing).
The "phased" approach adopted by Keystone Automotive allowed them better management while transitioning to new systems. In the meantime, legacy applications, such as the PC based software running at Keystone's 40+ sales offices feed data to the Enterprise/FMS(TM) via links built by HK Systems Solution Delivery and Keystone's own IT staff.
"Keystone has been very pleased with the relationship established with HK Systems. Our company has achieved its continued growth by establishing very high standards and managing our information technology to those standards. HK Systems has met all challenges Keystone has put to them," said Charlie Hogarty, Keystone's President and Chief Executive Officer.
