Transmission Technologies Corporation Named Idealease Component Supplier of the Year

    FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., Nov. 11 -- Idealease Inc., a
national leasing agent for medium- and heavy-duty vehicles, has presented
Transmission Technologies Corporation (TTC) with its 1999 Component Supplier
of the Year Award.
    At a time when suppliers are being asked to provide much more than
product, this award is significant.  It recognizes a level of involvement and
support far above and beyond the expected-service that the leasing company
itself identifies as "critical to the ongoing growth, success, and
competitiveness of Idealease."
    When presenting the Component Supplier of the Year Award, Dan Murphy,
Idealease executive vice president, cited three specific reasons why TTC
earned the honor.  The first was TTC's in-depth involvement in the Idealease
vendor assistance program, which assured that Idealease customers received the
greatest value when specifying TTC transmissions.  The second was TTC's
support and participation in the Idealease Best Practices program, where TTC
supplied a dedicated individual who attended all the leasing company's
customer training seminars.  The third factor was TTC's willingness to provide
a warranty program that exemplifies TTC's confidence in their products and
commitment to the industry.
    "The extent of our involvement with Idealease and their programs is unique
for a component supplier," says Michelle Vrlenich, operations manager at TTC.
"One of our goals is to be seen as a partner, rather than a supplier, to
clients like Idealease.  This award indicates that we're well on our way
towards that goal."
    TTC designs, develops, manufactures, and markets transmissions for a wide
variety of vehicles, from high-performance passenger cars and light-duty
